November Competition - "Permission Granted"

The key to this months competition is 'Permission'.

You get to recreate/interpret/cover or give tribute to any piece of music that you have permission to do so.

By permission we mean either:

1) Public domain/copyright free music (eg Mozart) or...

2) Something you have express permission to reinterpret by the original artist (eg get permission from the original artist here on mp3unsigned).

If you decide to rework a track that is on mp3unsigned.com then you need to get written permission to do so, this can be in the form of either a post here in the forum or a PM to Admin. Please clear permission with the artist BEFORE you spend time working on anything, you don't have to post this permission until the time that you post your track (if you wish).

-This competition is open to all genres.
-Any genre piece of music can be reworked by any other genre (eg rock/trance or dnb/classical etc).
- You can rework/reinvent/interpret/cove/pay tribute or do whatever else you want with your track
-Winner will be voted by the community
-The winner will receive 1 month free promotion on the mp3unsigned homepage and forum and the track will be released on iTunes and Amazon etc through Tunecore.
-No unauthorised samples can be used
-Remixes are not eligible
-Closing date is 30th November

Hi alive,

The closing date for votes is midnight December 15th, and results will be posted as soon as they are totted up. Unless you are very undecided about your own vote and need time to think it over, there is no real advantage in delaying the vote since new entries are no longer being accepted, and all votes received will be secret until December 16th.

But you do have plenty of time until the deadline, so there is no rush to respond.

PS: Ricky, it's probably best to send them to me, as A has his hands full at the moment. There's still a week left though, so if you prefer to PM him that's cool. We will be in touch in the meantime.

As confirmed by post number 82 in this thread,

Voting will be private but publication of votes will be public.

To clarify, this means all votes will be collected privately behind the scenes until the voting deadline, and then published in detail along with the results, as we did with the soundtrack comp. This system is transparent, fair, and eliminates any possibility or suspicions of vote-rigging. Democracy at its purest!
