REASON 4: Sidechaining
LIQUID LIQUID is offline 19-07-2010, 14:10 PM

Would anyone like to share an optimum setup in R4 for sidechaining. I know howo to route everything I just dont get any strong results. I wondered if there are optimum Compression settings or specific sounds that react more to the effect than others?

I dont know any different as I've only ever used Reason but you listen to some of Marts stuff done in Reason and to my simple ears its incredible. I suppose it depends on what kind of music your producing. Personally the kind of stuff I do doesnt need tons of compression so for me Reason at the moment is perfect.

No they are good if you don't push things but apart from the RV7000 they all fall short of being pro-standard imo, which is why you can rewire to something like cubase and use any plugins you like on an channel by channel basis. Perfect.
