FL Studio Automation question
Sukuta Sukuta is offline 11-06-2011, 08:06 AM

Cn anyone tell me how I can pass mod wheel info to a VST plugin in FL studio using automation or any other means within the program itself.. Any other effect parameters I can send?

I don't have a midi keyboard or controller at the moment.

1. Click the plugin option button on the top left of the plugin window.
2. Select "Browse Parameters.
3. Scroll down the browser until you see "MIDI CC#1 (Modulation Wheel)".
4. Right click "MIDI CC#1 (Modulation Wheel)" and select "Create Automation Clip".

Now if you go to the playlist you will have a new automation clip that will control your plugin's modulation wheel input.

Thanks for that. Are these controller numbers the same for all plugins, e.g #1 for mod wheel and is cthre a listing somewhere for them all.
I've browsed the parameters of the lugin and all the cc numbers are blank - I don't get those descriptions.

That is a 3rd party plugin i used (TAL noisemaker) and all 3rd party vsts will have the same MIDI CC number but for FLs native plugin you will have to search the list to see if that FL plugin even has a modulation wheel control.

What plugin are you looking to control btw?
