we have quite a few systems @ work but I tend to try and avoid it as much as possible... it's a bloody nightmare...if you ever used Pro Tools it has a similar feel to that but much harder to remember how things work...it's not as simple as it should be... I know most places are now using it as standard but the guys I work with tend to avoid it as much as I do....only really one of the tech guys uses it full time but he's 100% mac

the sound engine is amazing and it's really powerful but it's way too technical to do simple things.

what version are you using is it 9.1? I know when I go back to work mid sept they are supposed to be upgrading to Lion and I heard rumours that maybe logic 10 will be released shortly after... I personally hope they fix the bugs in 9 before releasing 10 but you know how these companies work.

Thanks for the reply Ricky. I think it's 9. I had a 4-day 'taster' course last week, and, My God I came home after the first day and said to me missus Oh My God I don't know if I'm doing the right thing! Nothing seems intuitive, compared to Cubase. The Apple OS seems to want to hide things from the user as well!

The second day was better, I started to get to grips with it. As it happens, the college has just bought a load of MACS so I bought one of the 'old' ones (hardly used) so I'll be able to get up to speed a bit quicker now..... I think....
