These sounds were achieved without an amp and without plucking a note. It's the Sustainiac system by Maniac Music Inc. It vibrates the strings giving endless sustain and feedback at will. It's a bit tricky at first as you have to mute the strings you are not fretting.

Been on the sustaniac website and it sounds really cool. Might try and build one me self - I've got an old pickup that would work as the magnetic transmitter... Andy
