Does anyone know of a good Uilleann (Irish) pipe VST or, failing that a bagpipe one?

I have this tune "The Lark's Lament" which just about everyone who has commented(including me, it has to be said) thinks would benefit from being played on a pipe - but all the ones in my collection of VSTs sound really thin and nasty and I'm not going to ruin a good tune with the wrong sound.

On the other hand, if I could find one that sounded rather fuller and richer I would definitely give it a go.

Any suggestions?

It's $595!!! I only want it for one tune!

There is a bagpipe on Edirol Virtual Sound Canvas but it is the most embarrassing sound I've ever heard and if anyone thinks I'm going to use that on a tune and stick it up on a site owned by a Scot they've got another think coming.

I'm willing to bet the EW one is brilliant but I can't justify £300 for it (sadly ).

Thanks anyway

Speaking as a Scotsman, you'd be as well making a loud 'honking' noise with your throat and singing the part, it'd probably sound better as well!!

No bagpipes! No bagpipes!

I've been chasing GreyBeard all over the site, blocking his attempts to add bagpipes. No more suggestions for them either, even very expensive ones.

Nice tune! We do not have Uilleann pipes (yet) I'm afraid but You still might want to try this:

http://www.soundbytes.de/BagPipes/

I have also a tiny oboe VSTi (freeware) that You could try and see how it compares to what you have originally been using:
