Recording Drums (tips from Metallica)
Superhuman Superhuman is offline 24-08-2010, 19:33 PM

Hey Everyone, I thought this would be of interest to anyone who either records live drums or uses a live drum refiller like DFH or EZdrummer. Some nice ideas and tips from Lars Ulrich here (the drummer from Metallica), he's been involved in some way on the engineering of all of Metallica's albums and to give the guy credit they have always had awesome sounding kits on their albums (with the possible exception of the snare on "Some Kind of Monster"!).
Enjoy!

Nice little clip. It's always interesting to hear the perspective of the instrumental players. In this case; the drummer. Kinda hard to have heavy metal without one. Hehe.
