Yeah, don't be put off by it's plain appearance (lack of buttons,etc)...it's programmable via the keys if you need it.They also do an 88es version...but they had none in stock when I bought mine.
But mine don't have an inbuilt piano Last edited by KtA; 10-05-2011 at 05:21 AM..

I use M-Audio Keyrig 49, 49 keys, usb, no buttons just mod/pitch wheels/octave/edit mode/master fader, it's like $99.99, don't really need anything other than that thanks to plug ins and I don't even use those buttons as it is lol, don't know what kind of flashy features your looking for, I believe it's fully mappable too.

they all pretty much do the same thing Andy...you can't really go wrong with any of them...apart from build quality and key weight.
I personally had issues with M-Audio equipment...I've also had some half decent stuff in that brand. can't go wrong with edirol either...never had any issues with them so far I own 3 edirol midi keyboards

Chip in with my humble opinion. I personally didnt go for a midi controller in the end as I didnt want to have to boot up the PC everytime I wanted to just sit down and knock out a few chords and work up an idea. But if you are not intending to ever play live and its simply an input device then I too have an M-Audio keyboard and find it fine to work with. Mine is very small so no use whatsoever for recording live performances but if that aint a problem then why pay for octaves you will never need as you can change the range of the keyboard on the m-audios with a button press.
