Help - Cubase problems
Christy Christy is offline 03-02-2012, 02:22 AM

Hi Guys - Can any of you musical wizards give me some advice if poss? I am currently using cubase 5 and I am having problems. The thing is when I use VST Instrument it sounds as if someone is using a slider and it is slipping in and out of key. It is also playing back like this after recorded even though at the time of recording it is fine???????? Audio is working fine - so its just able to record my Guitar and vox. Any advice will be much appreciated - dont know if its just me, I am blonde............ Christy

What VSTi are you having problems with?

Check you haven't inadvertently got some automation running on the track. While it's playing back, get the VSTi up on the screen and see if any of the controls are moving, ie being automated.

Check none of your midi notes are pitch-bend commands.

Likely suspect:
Some VSTi note articulations come into effect at note velocity 127. If the problems are associated with loud midi notes, this may be the answer.

Best I can do without seeing the problem. Hope it helps.

Is it a cracked copy of a VSTi? It may be corrupt.
