Hi Annette
We get one or two of these each week usually from South Africa or Australia and I really wish they wouldn't do it! Sometimes they sound so genuine, stating where they heard your music but never a specific track. Usually it all boils down to parting with cash. We can all do that easily enough without their help! Given up checking them out anymore but could be letting an opportunity pass us by - AGAIN!!! Wish they were genuine for you as you derserve success, so keep checking them out! L & B

Hi,
here is some good info for you. This is Universal Music and Universal Music is the largest of the big four. Type Subsidiary of Vivendi Founded 1934 (as Decca Records USA) 1990 (MCA Music Entertainment Group formed) 1996 (first UMG incarnation) 1998 (second UMG incarnation) Headquarters New York City, NY, United States Key people Doug Morris: Chairman and CEO Lucian Grainge: Chairman and CEO Industry Music & Entertainment Revenue ▲$6.14 billion (2007) Parent Universal (1996-2006) Vivendi (100%) Subsidiaries Universal Music Publishing Group Interscope-Geffen-A&M Island Def Jam Music Group Vivendi Entertainment Universal Motown Republic Group Decca Label Group Universal Music Group Nashville Verve Music Group Universal Music Enterprises Universal South Records Universal Music Latin Entertainment Sanctuary Group Fontana Distribution V2/Co-operative Music Website Universal Music Why not get yourself a google email account or yahoo and then use that email account to reply to this kings group and just plain and simple what do you want question and see where it goes, free email accounts all over the place. I don't see Kings Road Group tied to Universal anywhere. but that don't mean anything. Small companies pop up everyday and many are for real trying to make a living so won't cost you a dime to hear what they are offering, Just remember if your fronting the money something is funny.

Kings Road Group is indeed legit. We have used them before and they are great! Yes they charge a fee because they provide services such as marketing, promotions, publicity, etc. These types of services are normally not "free" or "back end" in nature. Anyone who is serious about running a Label is aware of that and use to paying their own bills. It's sounds like most of you are looking for "Artist Management" and not "Label Management". Artist management is usually where a manager will receive their compensation on the "back end", "if" and "when" the artist makes money from a record deal, performance, etc.
PS The studio exists, it's in Burbank, CA

Seems coincidence that the only people to assert they are legit are brand new members....call me a cynic....but.....duhhhh
