<DIV style="TEXT-ALIGN: center">Music Industry Quick Reference List
Your quick reference to record labels, publishers and other music industry-related companies that have contacted members of MP3Unsigned.
We all know about Statue Records, but they aren't the only dodgy record 'label' trying to get musicians to part with their hard earned cash on the promise of CD sales and success.
The bottom line is that no decent record label will ask you to spend any of your own money on getting a record made and on sale. If a label asks for money up front from their artists then it is basically a scam and you are wasting your money. Likewise, a real agency will make their money from the income they get from music licensing, not from charging their artists.
If you have received spam from, or have information regarding any other suspect 'record label', please post here and I will add them to the list.
Companies are entitled to advertise their products and services in the
Advertising folder, but when they personally email numerous artists without listening to their music beforehand, this is
spamming and we don't like this. Inmost cases, unsolicited emails are illegal in the UK.
added 3rd Oct 05: In the interests of fairness and for the benefit of legitimate companies and the artists that could potentially benefit from them, I will be adding trusted companies also to this list.
Spam/Scammers and/or Suspect Record Labels - STEER CLEAR OF THESE!! These guys only want your money. You're highly unlikely to recoup your investment.

Prospector List- Contact from one of these companies does not necessarilymean they think your music is marketable, but it is NOT a scam. Consider the offer carefully. Bear in mind that these companies still might screen for quality before they do anything with your music.
