You know, if it shuts down SaveBig.com, then I will be saving other people a loss as well.. That, in my opinion, is worth it to me.. I hate people that screw other people, and I'll do what it takes to bring them down.
That said, the thing is, the attourneys have ways to force this companies hands.. If SaveBig doesn't want a long drawn-out legal battle, they will more likely reply and comply if they know attourneys are involved. That's another reason why I'm in contact with an attourney. On another note, I got another email stating SaveBig's refund could take up to 30 days to refund.. I was rather nasty with them with my reply, but the overall said basically that they took my money in 10 minutes, but will take a month to return to me..? And I had every furious curse word in the book with that message.. lol Hope they get the point..

Dunno about yanky law but if ya paid by credit card in the uk they'd just cancel the transaction. My advice - go strainght to your bank and tell em what happened - it'd work in the uk i reckon.

I agree with James here
usually you'll have protection on your account or if in any case, your bank will have a fraud squad who will want to recouperate their losses

HA! If only Yank Banks worked like that, too busy being a Wank Bank, my mom's old bank kept letting all kinds of un-Authorized transactions go through after repeatedly being told to stop because it was fraud, no dice, made her pay over $200 for someone else's benefit...

The best way to get your money back from a site like that is to give them 24hrs to send the money back to you account or refund you by Paypal (in case they say it takes longer because of a merchant account). Tell them that if they don't refund you they will be reported to their ISP and payment provider (eg Worldpay, Paypal, Clickbank etc). The payment providers can freeze their accounts which can take weeks to resolve, they won't want that happening. The ISP can also take them offline, especially if they are worried that they are scamming users through their service. Forget contacting lawyers, they will charge you thousands and will probably get nowhere if the company/servers are located in another jurisdiction. The one thing that will stand up in their defense is that they changed the payment page after receiving the complaint... your trump card in case they refuse to replay you though is the screen capture
