This is Getting Old

Has anyone grown tired of the "auto-editing" of our comments on the site. I'm talking about when someone leaves a comment on someone's music how, if whatever they write matches some predetermined opinion of language that would be considered offensive, is replaced by a bunch of periods. I mean come on. We can name a track anything we want. As far as I have seen there is no editing done in the forum and we are all big boys and girls (more or less), i mean, "Give me a break". I like reading others' comments on my and others' tracks and don't think anyone reading on this site is going to be marked for life if they see a word that is offensive to them. Matter of fact, I've seen much more hurtful and/or offensive comments posted using non-curse words than a single word could ever convey anyway. What really ticks me off is when someone uses a non-curse word but somehow, a pre-determined "bad word" is imbedded in a "regular" word and it has been edited with periods, and then it makes the entire statement nonsensical. Perhaps this has been mentioned/debated here before or perhaps no one has noticed or is bothered about this but I am. I am sure there is a perceived valid reason for this practice but just to be ignorant one more time, I respectfully disagree with it right up front before I have to read it. There, I feel better. I notice it Dan, but it's never really bothered me to where I couldn't readily determine the intent.

I also would not care if people were allowed to curse a blue streak.

Just think how frustrating real life would be of every time we went to curse, bubbles came out of our mouths.

Not sure what the Amedeus take is on it but I do remember last time this subject was brought up the answer ran along the lines of there are children and young families using the site and we need to think of every one. I guffawed at the time and may I add a retort of what fking children?
