there are 10 spaces on the latest uploads and 5 of them are taken up by repeat offenders.

What I meant was that whilst loopholes exist people will exploit them. The site should have fixed that ages ago but for whatever reason it didnt happen so we live with what we have.

Not sure it was totally pointless... but I pretty much do agree LOL

this option was taken out when Stew run things... due to extra bandwidth charges....and people abusing the latest upload section.

it was also taken out when the new team took over...and then added again due to public opinion on it...but FFS some people are abusing this.

I was hoping people would take notice and maybe do it abit less...like 1 or 2 times a week.

hoping and happening miles apart... if Admin were more active... maybe they would notice...I don't wanna lose the feature but way things have been... I'd rather lose it and have an extra hour on the latest uploads...when I posted this... I had less than an hour due to members re-uploading their tracks again and again and again.

it's rather annoying... but Like Ant said... people will abuse loop holes...some people will that is.

nothing to do with charts just think people should think about other members of the site too for a change.

Make the new song list 100 long. Don't allow an upload to rise to the top of the list if it's already in the 100-list (simple/subtle name changes shouldn't fool the system of course like V2 or V3 (oops)).

If an artist uploads a different song and they already have a song in the 100-list let it replace the song already in the list. This would prevent a loophole in this idea.

The 20-list is ok but working your way back in time thru the earlier 80 is a pain and once you've clicked on a song link the list is back at the most recent 20 when you've finished with that song.

I agree with whoever it was suggested that we need to ditch that massive banner at the top of the page that is often way out of date in what its advertising (Genelec comp till recently). Same goes for the news section thats still telling us who won the Gothouse records comp. Lets devote the main bulk of the screen to the main event - The Music!

I also like the simple solution that says you can upload your tracks as often as you like but it wont jump to a new slot in the positions unless you tick that you want to replace (comments and noms included, that will fk em).

But this will cost money and I dont suppose there is any at the moment to develop the site - Perhaps we should all agree a one off charge for the next 12 months membership?

there is a box that asks whether you would like your track to be placed in the NEW MP3's listing on the front page - I always check that box. When we re-upload a track - THERE SHOULD BE THAT SAME BOX! I like to get feedback and re-upload my tracks, since I work on them almost every day and the latest version is the version I want on my page. Lately, I have waited a few days before replacing tracks - because I know that I am one of those who are continually doing this. Personally, I could give a flying sheep whether I get votes or not, but I do like to know if I am getting closer to having decent sounding recordings. That way I could finally begin MY quest for #1! LMAO!!

"I WISH" there was a box that gives us an option whether we would like our re-upload to be on front page or not.

Have to admit to being guilty of popping my new ones back to the top of the pile, not quite every 20 minutes though! When I have time to listen and comment on songs, it's rare that I have enough to do more than peruse the first two pages, and I've assumed others might be pressed in the same way.

Apologies if I've irritated anyone, unlike many of my irritations this one wasn't intentional, just thought it was common practice now...
