Thanks man. Your review of us is pretty spot on. Our "influences" are all over the place, and we basically hang out on Friday nights at my house drinking and jamming a bit.

I have a Roland recorder that I dump the tracks from to laptop and mix. Used Cakewalk for the first time yesterday. I end up doing a lot of vocals, and I am no singer let me tell you. Takes a few shots to get comfortable.

The female singing on "Chasing the Midnight Sun" is my wife. The girl in "In the Pines" is my 9 year old daugter.

Thanks for such an in-depth review and for taking time to check it out. The drums by the way are a set of Roland HD-1 plugged into mixer, then to recorder.

Default I'm taking a chance that I'm not too late...

I've been wanting a review for a song that I had spent a whole lot of time creating. It often gets overlooked because of the subject matter - yet, I believe that it is done in a respectful manner. I have had comments on the song, but I feel the comments seem to miss the connection that the music has with the story (especially guitar - and even the kick drum.) I don't know if there's a missed connection or if it is one of those songs that has to grow on you - which would explain why I haven't been able to connect with anyone beyond a first impression take of the song. And, if the review is unfavorable I don't mind - as long as it was understood what was going on through the tune.

So, I'm taking a chance that you're not out of the mood - and if you are - it's cool, keep me in mind next time you get in the mood.

Hey,

I see this post is a bit old, but I guess I'd respond anyway. I am an instrumental guitarist and just uploaded my newest album, "Rise From the Dead." A review of any song/entire album would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
Ryan Formato
